Hello and welcome, dear investigator, to The St. James Files - an actual play 'Call of Cthulhu' podcast with some possible audio drama bits thrown in.

But what, pray tell, is 'Call of Cthulhu'?

 

In its simplest form, 'Call of Cthulhu' - based on the stories of HP Lovecraft - is a roleplaying game of mystery and horror, published by Chaosium Inc. The players take on leading roles as investigators, working together to uncover sinister plots and, eventually, battling with some evil minion of the Cthulhu Mythos.

 

The game is an evolving interaction between players - in the guise of their characters unravelling a mystery - and the Keeper, who presents the world in which the stories take place. 

 

Now gird your loins and start the old automobile as we travel back to 1920's, um ... Devon.
