Who are we?
The St. James Files was started in 2019 by Steve Archer and Emma Bamford, two nerds with a passion for improv, scriptwriting and acting (even though one of them is absolutely terrible at accents ...)

Steve Archer
Characters played: Everyone in the background! Dr. Lucian (in Emma's first scenario as Keeper), Duke Morgan (season one), Rupert O'Malley and John Radley (season two).

Current character: Depending on if Emma needs a friend to work with in the story ... We'll see!

Favourite character: Duke Morgan, mainly because he was meant to be a Devonshire Ron Swanson.

Favourite HP Lovecraft story: 'The Dagon'
Favourite thing about RPGs: It gives an immediate response, to the writer of the game, with the reaction of players. The skills acquired through role-play can bleed over into real life situations, such as confidence building, or what to do if Cthulhu appears in your toilet.

Emma Bamford
Characters played: Minerva St. James; Amelia Court (season one); Tilly Green; Maggie Lacey (season two); Fiona Barton (season three).

Current character: Fiona Barton

Favourite character: Maggie Lacey. She was ballsy and Northern, which was just a fun thing to play. It also turned out that she could do some unexpected acrobatics ...

Favourite HP Lovecraft story: I'll be honest; I've only read one. 'Cool Air'. It was pretty good. But on my list - along with his collected works - is his 1927 essay, 'Supernatural Horror in Literature', because as a fan of horror and weird s**t, it sounds right up my street.

Favourite thing about RPGs: Nowhere else in life do you get to do a mad backflip in a hotel room doorway and kick a Brood Mother in the face. Also, the dice. So many dice, and they're all so pretty!
